Worship on Wednesday
An informal service held on the last Wednesday of every month (except August and December). The service starts at 3 pm, is about 50 minutes long and regularly features a visiting speaker. About 50 – 80 worshippers attend and stay for fellowship with tea and cake for about half an hour afterwards. Many who attend are regulars but newcomers are assured of a warm welcome.
Three different formats are followed on a regular cycle: God Cares – including personal prayer for any with particular needs; Just a Word – an opportunity for a Bible passage to be explored; and Songs of Praise – an opportunity for worshippers to choose a favourite hymn or Christian song (in advance of the day).
