Life Events

Baptism

Baptisms are held during 10.45 am service usually on the 3rd Sunday of each month (not December).

In baptism, we thank God for his gift of life and publicly acknowledge his love. In the Anglican Church it is common to baptise young children and this is sometimes known as christening. We also offer re-affirmation of baptism vows by full immersion in our baptism pool.

To enquire about getting baptised yourself, or to have your child baptised here at Christ Church, please email the office with your name, address and phone number. If you wish to have your baby baptised and you do not live in the parish or worship at the church you will need to get written permission from the Vicar of the parish you live in. We will send you an application form which must be returned to confirm the booking and then we will arrange a date for our clergy to visit you. This visit can take place at your home or at the vicarage.

Weddings

To enquire about getting married at Christ Church we will need your name, address and telephone number. We also need to know whether you have been previously married.

Email the church office, noting the date that you would like to get married and someone will contact you.  Alternatively, please phone the office to discuss your requirements.

Funerals

Our bereavement support team is on hand to offer support at this difficult time. Please contact the church office for more information.
