An Unexpected Christmas

An Unexpected Christmas

At Christ Church our vision for the children’s work is to provide comprehensive, unified and relevant groups and events, that equips and challenges children to live inspirational lives, that are grounded in the Gospel and are on fire for God. We want to inspire a dynamic and creative leadership team, who are supported in ministry, servant-hearted in leadership, and dedicated to building God’s Kingdom in the hearts and minds of a new generation, as part of a vibrant wider church.

Sundays

scramblers

We want to offer children a great time on Sunday mornings. We hope that we will help every child to grow in relationship with Jesus and to have good friends of all ages.

We also aim to involve children fully in the life and ministry of the church, recognising that we all learn from each other.

In all our groups we welcome and include children with special needs

In all our groups we welcome and include children with special needs.

Sunday Groups:

Explorers (0 – 3.5 years)

Creche1Available during the 10.45am service on Sundays when there are children’s groups. Parents are welcome to stay with or leave their children as they wish. Toys are provided for all ages.

Discoverers (3.5 years – Reception)

Our aim is to enable the children to get to know Jesus for themselves in a safe and fun environment. We start with free play and then spend time together singing, sharing a Bible story and praying. We finish by making something to take home.

Adventurers (Years 1 – 6)

The Year 1-6 group (new name to be decided with the children), will run in the hall. There will be All Together time with a time of worship, teaching and prayer, and Small Group time which will focus on asking questions and digging deeper into the theme of the week. These small groups will be sorted by school year. There will be activities, games, craft, videos, singing, dancing and FUN!
